2021年2月19日に五段に昇段し、2022年2月10日C級1組への昇級を決めた。
棋風は主に四間飛車や三間飛車の攻めが得意。相振り飛車も得意とするが対局相手が振り飛車党の場合は居飛車を指すことも多い。また、近年では雁木などの相居飛車を指すことも多い。
また、ポケモン好きで「厨ポケ狩り講座」など有名どころのポケモン実況動画はほとんど見ている。趣味はカラオケで好きな歌手はaiko、いきものがかり、西野カナ。

I started playing shogi when I was five years old, reading a book my father bought me. He was taught by Osamu Nakao, a 7-dan shogi player, and became a student of Nobuo Mori, Nakao's younger disciple, and joined the Kansai Promotion Association in April 2005.
He was promoted to 4th dan in 2017, and in the same year won his first shogi tournament by defeating previous year's champion, Shunpei Ide, 4th dan, with 2 wins and 1 loss in the final third match of the Kakogawa Seiryu match. In the 2020 Asahi Cup Shogi Open Tournament, he won the preliminary rounds and advanced to the main tournament, and although he advanced to the top four at 4-dan, he lost to Hiroyuki Miura in the semi-finals.
He was promoted to 5th Dan on February 19, 2021, and decided to be promoted to Class C Class 1 on February 10, 2022.
