東ゆみこは日本の文学研究者、文筆家。1968年生まれ。千葉県出身。学習院大学大学院人文科学研究科博士前期課程では神話学・日本文学を専攻し、お茶の水女子大学大学院博士課程では比較文化学を取り扱った。その後、東京大学大学院の人文社会系研究科附属次世代人文学開発センターの特任助教やDNP学術電子コンテンツ研究寄付講座の特任講師を務め、現在は国際ファッション専門職大学の教授をしている。

Yumiko Higashi is a Japanese literary researcher and writer. Born in 1968. Born in Chiba Prefecture. In the master's program at the Gakushuin University Graduate School of Humanities, I majored in mythology and Japanese literature, and in the doctoral program at Ochanomizu University, I studied comparative culture. After that, he served as a specially appointed assistant professor at the Next Generation Humanities Development Center attached to the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, the University of Tokyo, and a specially appointed lecturer at the DNP Academic Electronic Content Research Endowed Chair, and is currently a professor at the International College of Fashion Professionals.
His representative works include ``The Mythology of Kusomaru'' (2003), ``Why Did the Cat Climb the Gallows?''
