Hiroaki Sugita is a Japanese management consultant. After serving as the Japan Representative of the Boston Consulting Group, he became a senior advisor for the development of collaborative creation platforms at the University of Tokyo, and a professor at the Waseda University Graduate School of Business Administration.
Born in Aichi Prefecture, graduated from Aichi Prefectural Jishukan High School in 1979. After graduating from the Department of Social Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, he joined the Japan Transport Corporation (later JTB) and was involved in overseas travel planning and sales and informatization strategy projects. After that, in 1993, he completed his studies at Keio University Graduate School of Business Administration. He left the company in 1994 and joined Boston Consulting Group. He has held a number of positions at the company and currently serves as a senior advisor.
His books include ``Thinking Sales: BCG-style Sales Strategy'' and ``BCG-style Strategic Sales.'' He also supervises translations of works by Michael J. Silverstein and others.
