After graduating from Ferris University's Faculty of Letters, she worked as an editor at Seidosha and began her creative career. It has won numerous awards, including the 3rd Mainichi Shimbun Hanaichimonme Children's Story Award and the 8th Niimi Nankichi Children's Literature Award.
