森信雄（もり のぶお）は1952年生まれ、将棋棋士。2001年にフリークラスに転出後、七段に昇ったが、2017年に引退。振り飛車党で中でも穴熊が好み。終盤の巧者で詰め将棋も得意。また、作家としても著名で「水平線」という詰将棋作品集を刊行。その後も「将棋世界」誌で「あっという間の3手詰」のコーナーを担当し、超短手数の問題集を多数出版している。門下からは数多くの棋士が輩出している。

**"Breathing new life into the shogi world"**
Nobuo Mori was born in 1952 and is a shogi player. After transferring to the free class in 2001, he rose to 7th Dan, but retired in 2017. Of all the swinging rooks, his favorite is Anaguma. He is skilled in the final stages and is also good at Tsume Shogi. He is also famous as a writer and has published a collection of Tsume Shogi works called ``Horizon''. Since then, he has been in charge of the ``Fast 3-move'' section of ``Shogi World'' magazine, and has published numerous collections of extremely short-move problems.
