Azami Saito is a Japanese novelist and mystery writer. Born in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture. After graduating from Iwate University's Department of Arts and Culture in the Faculty of Education in 2012, she won the first Shincho Mystery Award for her horror mystery novel "Sanaki no Mori." The work was highly praised for its structure, which alternated between ghost story-like parts that made full use of old fonts and light novel-like parts.
