English Summary
**"A man who continued to make new movies"**
Shunji Iwai is a Japanese film director, video maker, screenwriter, and musician. He has produced works in a wide range of genres, including TV dramas, movies, and documentaries, and is known for his unique perspective and aesthetic. His representative works include ``Love Letter,'' ``Swallowtail,'' and ``The Murder Case of Flowers and Alice,'' and the most noteworthy feature among them is the introduction of rotoscope animation. This is something I've been trying to do for 20 years, and since tracing a live-action photo with lines would result in a disgusting picture, I tried many tricks, such as hand-drawing only the face and deforming it. Haruko Kuno says, ``It's durable enough to stand the test of time, and probably won't have any bugs even after 10 or 20 years.''
