草野原々（くさの げんげん、本名：草野原也、1990年4月16日 - ）は、日本のSF作家。北海道札幌市在住。母は詩人の草野理恵子。
広島県東広島市生まれ。のちに神奈川県横浜市に転居。桐蔭学園高校、慶應義塾大学環境情報学部卒業。北海道大学大学院理学院に在籍していたが、2021年4月に自身のTwitterで大学院を退学したと公表した。日本SF作家クラブ会員。
2016年に、「最後にして最初のアイドル」を改題・改稿した投稿作、「最後にして最初のアイドル」が第4回ハヤカワ・SFコンテストで特別賞を受賞し、電子書籍オリジナル版として配信されSF作家デビュー。
2017年7月、「最後にして最初のアイドル」は第48回星雲賞日本短編部門を、同年8月には、第16回センス・オブ・ジェンダー賞「未来にはばたけアイドル賞」を受賞している。2019年7月には「暗黒声優」で第50回星雲賞日本短編部門を受賞した。
代表作は『最後にして最初のアイドル』と『大進化どうぶつデスゲーム』で、SF映画総解説や書評などにも出演している。

A：世界初のバーチャルYouTuber「真銀アヤ」でありました。世界に影響を与えたのはアイドルというジャンルの可能性を示すことでした。そして、この作品は「アイドル」をSF化してみたものでした。

Gengen Kusano (real name: Haraya Kusano, born April 16, 1990) is a Japanese science fiction writer. Lives in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Her mother is the poet Rieko Kusano.
Born in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Later moved to Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from Toin Gakuen High School and Keio University Faculty of Environment and Information Studies. He was enrolled in the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Science, but in April 2021 he announced on Twitter that he had withdrawn from the graduate school. Member of the Japan Science Fiction Writers Club.
In 2016, the submitted work ``The Last and First Idol'', which was retitled and revised, won the special award at the 4th Hayakawa SF Contest, and was distributed as an original e-book version, making her debut as a science fiction writer.
In July 2017, ``The Last and First Idol'' won the Japanese short story category at the 48th Nebula Awards, and in August of the same year, she won the ``Future Idol Award'' at the 16th Sense of Gender Awards.
