Yoshinori Gyobu is a Japanese scholar of Japanese history. He specializes in modern Japanese history and is well versed in the history of Showa popular music. He is also an academic advisor for the Tokai Rintaro Music Hall. He is also active as a professor at Nihon University's College of Commerce.
He was in charge of historical research on military uniforms, Western clothing, and customs for NHK's historical drama ``Saigodon'' and the TV drama series ``Ale'' and ``Boogie Woogie,'' and conducted uniform historical research for ``Tiger ni Tsubasa.'' He has also written many other works and books related to history and culture.
