Keiichi Tsunekawa is a Japanese political scientist and professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo. Specializes in comparative politics and Latin American politics. Born in Chiba Prefecture, he graduated from the University of Tokyo's College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in International Relations, in 1971, and withdrew from the same graduate school's doctoral program in 1980. He subsequently withdrew from the doctoral program at the Cornell University School of Political Science.
