日本の女性漫画家、同人作家。兵庫県西宮市出身で北海道札幌市在住。
代表作に『水色時代』、『少女少年』、『ないしょのつぼみ』、『まほちゅー!』など。
1983年に13歳の時に『ちゃお』（小学館）9月号増刊に掲載された「ボインでごめん！」でデビューした。1990年代前半から中盤にかけては、後輩のあらいきよこや清水真澄とともに、『ちゃお』の看板作家として活躍した。
作風は自身の青春体験からの創作である。「水色時代を過ぎても」と「ないしょのつぼみ」は自身の体験を取り入れている。1996年に「水色時代」がテレビアニメ化された際、以降は小学館の学年誌で連載作品を執筆するようになり、2012年まで『小学六年生』や『小学四年生』に活躍した。
2009年、「ないしょのつぼみ」で第54回（平成20年度）小学館漫画賞児童向け部門を受賞。2021年現在は『ちゃお』とその派生誌で活躍中。また、同人作家としても活動しており、連載作品や単行本に収録されている。

Japanese female manga artist and doujin writer. Born in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, currently lives in Sapporo City, Hokkaido.
Representative works include ``Mizuiro Jidai'', ``Shoujo no Tsubomi'', ``Naisho no Tsubomi'', and ``Mahochu!''.
In 1983, at the age of 13, she made her debut with "Boin de Gomen!", which was published in the September issue of "Ciao" (Shogakukan). From the early to mid-1990s, he was active as the signature artist for Ciao, along with his juniors Kiyoko Ara and Masumi Shimizu.
His style is a creation based on his own experiences in youth. ``Even after the light blue era'' and ``Naisho no Tsubomi'' incorporate his own experiences. When ``Light Blue Jidai'' was made into a TV anime in 1996, he began writing serialized works for Shogakukan's school year magazine, and was active in ``Sixth Grade'' and ``Fourth Grade'' until 2012.
In 2009, he won the 54th (Heisei 20) Shogakukan Manga Award in the children's category for "Naisho no Tsubomi." As of 2021, he is currently active in "Ciao" and its derivative magazines. He is also active as a doujinshi author, and has been included in serialized works and books.
