Manga artist. Author of ``Takeshi, the leader at the end of the century!'' (2001 Shogakukan Manga Award Children's Category) and ``Toriko'' (serialization completed in 2016). His colleague is Eiichiro Oda (One Piece). Born in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. He was arrested on suspicion of prostitution with a 16-year-old high school girl he met on a dating site. He returned in 2004 and revived the out-of-print comic ``End of the Century Leader Den Takeshi!'' as a wide version.
