Noboru Tsujihara is a Japanese novelist. Born in Inami-cho, Wakayama Prefecture. Member of the Japan Art Academy and Person of Cultural Merit. Former director of Kanagawa Modern Literature Museum.
His representative works include ``Tobe Kirin'', ``Yudotei Enki'', and ``Blue Flame in the Autumn Leaves''. It has also been praised as ``Heart of Darkness'' and ``Winter Journey.''
Noboru Tsujiwara began writing novels in his youth, but later worked in the China trade and made his debut as a writer after returning to Japan. In 1990, he won the Akutagawa Prize for ``Village Name''.
