大塚信は、日本の牧師であり、ホロコースト記念館の初代館長でもある。京都市右京区で生まれた彼は、若い頃から人権と平和への意識を持っており、アンネ・フランクの父親オットー・フランクと出会ったことがきっかけでその気持ちを強めていった。その後、イスラエルのエルサレムに語学留学し、帰国後に聖イエス会の牧師として教える仕事を始めた。1990年代以降は、福山市の御幸町にある聖イエス会御幸教会の牧師となり、アンネ・フランク展を開催してからは記念館開館への決意を強めていった。そして1995年にはホロコースト記念館を設立し、その初代館長となった。

Nobuo Otsuka is a Japanese pastor and the first director of the Holocaust Memorial Museum. Born in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City, he had an awareness of human rights and peace from a young age, and this feeling strengthened after meeting Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank. After that, he studied abroad in Jerusalem, Israel, and after returning home, he began teaching as a pastor at the Society of St. Jesus. From the 1990s onwards, he became the pastor of the St. Jesus Society Miyuki Church in Miyuki-cho, Fukuyama City, and after holding an Anne Frank exhibition, he became more determined to open a memorial museum. In 1995, he established the Holocaust Memorial Museum and became its first director.
