さとうわきこは、日本の絵本作家。1935年生まれ、2024年に逝去。彼女の作品は子供の文化研究所所員や児童出版美術家連盟所属など、多くの賞を受けている。
東京学芸大学附属大泉小学校を卒業後、東京都立大泉高校に進学し、映画会社東宝に就職した。しかし、腎臓結核にかかり2年間療養生活に入った。その後は、デザイン会社に就職し、寺村輝夫と知り合って挿絵画家としてデビュー。童話研究会に所属して『母の友』に投稿し、松島わき子の筆名で「てんぐのきせる」を発表。
代表作は、1970年に発表した『せんたくかあちゃん』や1977年に発表した『ばばばあちゃん』。1990年には小さな絵本美術館を創設し、子どもの心に愛と笑いを伝えたという功績が評価される。

Wakiko Sato is a Japanese picture book author. Born in 1935, passed away in 2024. Her work has received many awards, including being a member of the Children's Cultural Research Institute and a member of the Children's Publishing Artists Federation.
After graduating from Oizumi Elementary School attached to Tokyo Gakugei University, he entered Tokyo Metropolitan Oizumi High School and got a job at the film company Toho. However, he contracted kidney tuberculosis and was recuperating for two years. After that, he got a job at a design company, met Teruo Teramura, and made his debut as an illustrator. She belonged to the Children's Story Study Group and contributed to ``Hother's Friends,'' publishing ``Tengu no Kiseru'' under the pseudonym Wakiko Matsushima.
His representative works include ``Sentaku Kaachan'' released in 1970 and ``Baba Grandma'' released in 1977. In 1990, he founded a small picture book museum, and was praised for his accomplishments in conveying love and laughter to the hearts of children.
