**"Picture book author who makes children smile"**
Tadashi Akiyama is a Japanese picture book author and illustrator. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Design. He won the Kodansha Picture Book Newcomer Award and the Japan Picture Book Award Grand Prize for ``Hayakune Teyo''.
Representative works include ``Hanakapa'', ``Pants Pankuro'', ``Mameushi Series'', ``Henshin Series'', and ``Tamago Niichan Series''. He has also created the illustration for the Chubu Japan Broadcasting System (CBC) character ``Coron-chan.''
His most famous work is the ``Pants Pankuro'' series. This work will bring smiles to children's faces with a picture book based on the theme of ``Pants Bear'' and ``Henshin Tunnel'', which were made temporarily in the toilet of a children's stable.
