柳原良平は、日本のイラストレーター、漫画家、アニメーション作家、エッセイスト。東京都出身。西村捨三のひ孫で、元読売ジャイアンツの広田順は再従兄弟にあたる。
イラストレーターとして多くの作品を発表し、サントリーのCMキャラクター「アンクルトリス」が人気を呼んだ。また、個人アニメーション作品も制作。1964年に開高健、山口瞳らとともに広告制作会社サン・アドを設立。
漫画家として、読売新聞夕刊に『今日も一日』、公明党の機関紙・公明新聞に『良ちゃん』を連載した。著書に『船の本』シリーズ、『海と港と船 日本の商船』などがある。
その後、多くの作品が発表され、2000年時点で海運7社から名誉船長の称号を贈られた。また、「みなとみらい21」の街の名称は柳原が推したことで決まった。2015年に84歳で死去し、追悼展も開かれた。

Ryohei Yanagihara is a Japanese illustrator, manga artist, animation writer, and essayist. Born in Tokyo. He is the great-grandson of Sutezo Nishimura and his second cousin Jun Hirota, formerly of the Yomiuri Giants.
He has published many works as an illustrator, and his Suntory commercial character ``Uncle Triss'' became popular. He also produces personal animation works. In 1964, he established the advertising production company Sun-Ad with Ken Kaiko and Hitomi Yamaguchi.
