葉室麟は、日本の小説家です。1969年に西南学院大学文学部外国語学科フランス語専攻卒業後、地方紙記者やラジオニュース担当などを経て、小説を書き始めました。2005年に『乾山晩愁』で第29回歴史文学賞を受賞し、以降、多くの歴史時代小説を書きます。2012年に『蜩ノ記』で第146回直木三十五賞を受賞し、名高い作家の一人に成ります。2017年12月23日に病気のために66歳で亡くなりました。

Rin Hamuro is a Japanese novelist. After graduating from Seinan Gakuin University's Faculty of Letters, Department of Foreign Studies, majoring in French in 1969, he worked as a reporter for a local newspaper and in charge of radio news, before beginning to write novels. In 2005, he won the 29th Historical Literature Award for Kenzan Banshu, and since then he has written many historical novels. In 2012, he won the 146th Naoki Sanjugo Prize for ``Sagunoki'' and became one of the famous writers. He passed away on December 23, 2017 at the age of 66 due to illness.
