Yutaka Hara is a Japanese children's literature author and illustrator. Born in 1953 in Kumamoto Prefecture. Lives in Minato-ku, Tokyo. Debuting at the age of 20, he approached a publisher and asked if he would let him do all the layouts, which led him to draw them himself, which led him to do illustrations to this day.
