日本生命時代にアトランタオリンピックで銀メダルを、アテネオリンピックで銅メダルを獲得しました。中日ではセントラル・リーグの首位打者を2回獲得し、2006年に最優秀選手に選出されました。

Kosuke Fukudome (born April 26, 1977) is a former Japanese professional baseball player. He has experience as an outfielder and infielder, and has recorded 2,450 hits and 327 home runs in a total of 24 years of career.
Fukudome has attracted attention as a strong hitter since his days at PL Gakuen High School. In 1995, he was selected first by seven NPB teams at the professional baseball draft meeting, but he refused to join the Chunichi Dragons and instead joined Nippon Life Insurance, an adult baseball team.
During his time with Nippon Life Insurance, he won a silver medal at the Atlanta Olympics and a bronze medal at the Athens Olympics. At Chunichi, he won the Central League's top batting title twice and was named Most Valuable Player in 2006.
Fukudome played for NPB's Hanshin Tigers from 2013 to 2020, then returned to Chunichi for the first time in 14 years. He will retire from active duty in 2022.
