Atsuhiko Yoshida is a Japanese mythologist who specializes in comparative mythology and Western classical studies. At the Graduate School of Humanities, the University of Tokyo, he studied under Moichi Wu and Goro Maeda, and at the French National Center for Scientific Research under Georges Dumezil. He also had active interactions with Tara Obayashi, and published research relating the three functional forms to the comparison of Greek and Japanese mythology. His works include ``Greek Mythology and Japanese Mythology: An Attempt at Comparative Mythology'' and ``The Origins of Japanese Mythology.''
