Toshitaka Itaki is a Japanese agricultural scientist. After graduating from Chiba Agricultural College (currently Chiba University Faculty of Horticulture) in 1950, he engaged in research and practical activities related to agricultural technology. In addition to developing the ``Zen-Noh-style seedling grafting production system,'' which is the world's most popular grafting method using cell-formed seedlings, he has also contributed through research to hydroponic cultivation, Shinen-style large greenhouses, and ``long-term multi-stage harvesting'' for tomatoes.
His representative genres are related to greenhouse horticulture and vegetable cultivation, and his awards include a doctorate in agriculture from Tokyo University of Agriculture (1976) and numerous other books, co-editors, and supervisors.
