Takeshi Tendatsu, a native of Kanagawa Prefecture, is active as a weather forecaster on Fuji TV's information programs. In high school, as a member of the baseball team, he was fast enough to earn the lead-off and center field positions, and he also experienced failing one university entrance exam. Later, he passed the weather forecaster exam on his seventh attempt and became the weather forecaster for "Tokudane!". For a period starting in 2012, he also handled weather forecasts for "Mezamashi TV."

Currently, he appears on "Sun! Shine" and began working in the studio when the program started. His own children also say that their father is a "weather expert." He also holds a chef's license and once served as the person in charge of food ordering at the family restaurant Denny's.

The reason he was chosen for "Tokudane!"'s weather segment starting in 2010 is reportedly due to his unusual name, "Tendatsu," which can be written as "heavenly expert."
