Hajime Orihara is a Japanese novelist and mystery writer. He is a member of the Japan Mystery Writers Association and the Honkaku Mystery Writers Club, and has been introduced as an Orihara fan on Nippon Television's ``Magical Brain Power!!'' and by Fuji Television announcer Shinsuke Kasai. Many of his true mystery works are short stories, such as ``Five Coffins'' (1988) and ``Seven Coffins'' (1992), which deal with crime cases that take place behind closed doors.
