Urara Takahashi's works begin by emphasizing the importance of the lives of animals and people in danger. Born in Suginami Ward, Tokyo, she attended Kamakura Women's University Elementary School and graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Economics.She won the Mainichi Children's Novel Excellence Award in 1993 and made her debut with ``Ii Weather'' in 2001. In 2021, he won the 3rd Children's Literature Nonfiction Literary Award for ``Saving Pets in Disaster: Veterinarian Team VMAT''.
