Japanese trainer. Representative Director of KOBA Sports Entertainment Co., Ltd.
During his student days, he engaged in martial arts such as judo and wrestling, but retired from competition due to a lumbar compression fracture.
While working at an orthopedic clinic after acquiring qualifications as an acupuncturist and judo therapist, he transitioned to becoming an athletic trainer after interacting with athletes suffering from sports injuries. In 1995, he joined the Tokyo Gas Soccer Club (now FC Tokyo), which was based in Sarue, Koto Ward, Tokyo. While serving as a trainer for the club, he opened an acupuncture and osteopathic clinic in Sarue in 1996.
In 2002, he left FC Tokyo when their training ground relocated, and has since expanded his activities to include lecturing at medical and rehabilitation vocational schools, and working as a personal trainer and advisor for athletes. He has authored over 50 publications on core training, with cumulative sales exceeding 2.3 million copies.

Prompted by my own experience with a lumbar compression fracture, I transitioned to become an athletic trainer, and I am active in helping athletes prevent injuries and improve their performance.

The "Core Balance Method" advocated in this book is an easy-to-understand and accessible method for both athletes and the general public.
