Japanese international political scientist. Specializes in American politics and diplomacy, international relations theory, and peace studies. After serving as an associate professor at Doshisha University Graduate School of Global Studies, he will be promoted to professor in 2025.
He graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo, and after working as an assistant at Waseda University's Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, he held positions including assistant professor at the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Kansai University of Gaidai and associate professor at the Faculty of Economics (Department of International Studies) at Takasaki University of Economics. Currently working at Doshisha University.
His publications include the single-authored book ``The Era of the War Movement: American International Relations Thought in the ``Twenty Years of Crisis,'' and co-authored ``Generation Z America,'' and the translation of Hitomi Yamanaka's ``Between Wars: E.H. Carr and the World Wars.''
