Michiko Doryo is known for her works in a wide range of genres, including children's stories, picture books, novels, poetry, and nonfiction. Born in Tokyo, she attended Chuo University's Faculty of Letters and grew up in Chiba Prefecture, then worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an advertising production company before becoming a freelance copywriter.
