浅田次郎は、東京都中野区鍋屋横丁（旧・上町）で育ち、都内を転々とすること18回。エッセイなどでは神田出身とも述べている。祖先は武士で、家柄は譜代関宿藩の御馬廻役300石であったらしいが、祖父母は関東大震災と東京大空襲で2度焼け出されました。

Jiro Asada is a Japanese novelist. He is known for his works in a wide range of genres, including villain novels, historical novels, and historical novels from the late Qing Dynasty. He has won the Eiji Yoshikawa Prize for New Writers and the Naoki Prize, and served as president of the Japan Pen Club from 2011 to 2017.
Jiro Asada grew up in Nabeya Yokocho (formerly Kamimachi), Nakano Ward, Tokyo, and has moved around the city 18 times. In his essays, he also states that he is from Kanda. His ancestors were samurai, and his family was said to have earned 300 koku as the Oma Mawari of the Fudai Sekijuku domain, but his grandparents were burned down twice in the Great Kanto Earthquake and the Great Tokyo Air Raid.
