Michiyo Akaishi is a Japanese female manga artist. Born in Urawa City, Saitama Prefecture. Graduated from Musashino Art University.
She began drawing manga in elementary school and was a member of the manga club while attending Urawa Daiichi Girls' High School. In 1979, she was selected for the Shogakukan New Comic Award. In 1980, she debuted with "Marshmallow Tea is Alone" in the January extra issue of Bessatsu Shōjo Comic. In 1993, she received the 39th Shogakukan Manga Award in the children's category (1993) for "One More Jump."
Currently, she serializes her works in various magazines. "Memokuramu ~Taisho Cinema Roman~" has been completed in Monthly Flowers, and "I Can See Something Behind Me" is serialized in Anekei Petit Comic. Additionally, "Myth of Heaven, Eternity of Earth Series," which was irregularly serialized in Mystery Bonita, has also been completed.
