漫画界に新しい風を起こす才能を持つ「超新星漫画家」
代表作『名探偵コナン』と『YAIBA』はそれぞれ小学館漫画賞を受賞し、多数の連載やアニメ化が行われている。
他にも『まじっく快斗』『4番サード』などの作品がある。
生い立ち
青山剛昌は1963年6月21日に鳥取県大栄町で4人兄弟の次男として生まれ、小学生の時には「私立探偵専門の漫画家になりたい」という気持ちを書き残している。
美術教師に憧れ、大学時代は日本大学芸術学部へ進学し、漫画研究部に入る。ちばてつやの大ファンであり、『おれは鉄兵』が好きだったことから『週刊少年マガジン』の持ち込みを試みたが、絵柄に問題があると言われて断念。その後講談社を出て、近くの本屋で見かけた『週刊少年サンデー』に連絡し、その場で原稿を持込み、1986年『ちょっとまってて』で小学館新人コミック大賞を受賞しデビューした。

early life
Gosho Aoyama was born on June 21, 1963 in Daiei-cho, Tottori Prefecture, as the second son of four children, and when he was in elementary school he wrote about his desire to become a manga artist specializing in private detectives.
Aspiring to become an art teacher, he entered Nihon University's College of Art and entered the Manga Research Department. He was a big fan of Tetsuya Chiba and liked ``Ore wa Tetsuhei'', so he tried to bring in ``Weekly Shonen Magazine'', but he gave up because he was told there was a problem with the illustrations. After that, he left Kodansha and contacted Weekly Shonen Sunday, which he saw at a nearby bookstore, and brought in his manuscript on the spot, and in 1986, he made his debut with Shogakukan Newcomer Comic Award for ``Wait a Little''.
