**"Creating manga brimming with the allure of marine life!"**
Gonpei Hitsuji is a Japanese manga artist, known for his masterpiece, "Mission: Yozakura Family."
He began his career as a manga artist at the age of 19. Even after graduating from the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences at Hokkaido University, he was determined to devote himself entirely to manga. In 2011, he received an honorable mention at the 43rd JUMP Treasure Rookie Manga Award. Afterward, "Chaco's Jailbreak Theory," published in "Shonen Jump NEXT!," became his debut work. "Phantom Veterinarian Toteku," serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump," won the 10th Golden Future Cup.
While he is, of course, known as a manga artist, it might not be the manga he personally creates that defines him. He also attended Hokkaido University's Faculty of Fisheries Sciences out of an interest in marine life. His older brother is a musician, and Hitsuji has even drawn the covers for his CDs.
