評論家・随筆家。東京都江東区深川出身。文化学院文科卒。夫は文芸評論家の古谷綱武で、義弟はニュースキャスターの古谷綱正。生活に関することを経験に生かし評論家となったが、1969年に「“家事評論家”廃業宣言」と書き話題となる。夫と共に立ち上げた勉強会の記録誌「むれ」は現在も続いている。

Critic and essayist. Born in Fukagawa, Koto-ku, Tokyo. Graduated from Bunka Gakuin Department of Literature. Her husband is literary critic Tsunatake Furuya, and her brother-in-law is newscaster Tsunamasa Furuya. He became a critic by leveraging his experience in life, but in 1969 he became a hot topic when he wrote, ``Declaration of going out of business as a housework critic.'' The study journal ``Mure'' that she started with her husband is still running today.
