Yoshinori Shimizu is a famous Japanese novelist. Using pastiche (stylistic imitation) techniques, his distinctive works include ``Soba Tokishimen'' (1986) and ``Eternal Jack & Betty'' (1988). He has also written mystery novel series such as ``The Doctor's Unusual Invention'' (2002) and ``The Collar Story'' (2005).In addition to serving as a terminology committee member for NHK, he is also active as a selection committee member for the serial project ``Novel Tiger's Den'' in the novel recruitment information magazine ``Monthly Public Recruitment Guide''.
