Kasumi Asakura, who is active as a novelist, won the 37th Hokkaido Shimbun Literary Award for ``Robin-san no Koto'' in 2003, and the 72nd Contemporary Novel Newcomer Award for ``Liver, Burn'' in 2004. In 2009, he won the 30th Eiji Yoshikawa Prize for New Writers for ``Tamura Hamadaka,'' in 2017, he was nominated for the 30th Shugoro Yamamoto Award for ``High Tide,'' and in 2019, he won the 32nd Shugoro Yamamoto Award for ``Hiraba no Tsuki.''
