プロフェッショナルとしての金子柱憲のキャリアは、1975年に14歳で初めてゴルフを始める。東京都出身で、日本大学高等学校から日本大学経済学部卒業。この間、関東学生3連覇を達成するなど、高校生時代にすでに実績を積み重ねていた。プロ転向後も活躍し、1996年には賞金ランク2位にまで上り詰めた。現在は、マネジメント契約を吉本興業と結んでおり、2022年7月から活動している。
