「無罪を取り戻す力を持つ弁護士」
弘中惇一郎は、日本の弁護士です。東京弁護士会に所属し、元自由人権協会代表理事でもあります。彼は1964年に東京大学に入学し、1967年に司法試験を受けました。その後、1970年に弁護士登録して以来、彼は多くの裁判で無罪判決を勝ち取ってきました。彼の実績から、「無罪請負人」と呼ばれます。
彼が取り組んだ裁判では、薬害事件やマクリーン事件などがあります。また、マクリーン事件では三浦和義の無罪も勝ち取りました。他にも障害者郵便制度悪用事件や安部英の一審無罪など、多くの事件に関与しました。
2019年にはカルロス・ゴーン被告が保釈を勝ち取ったのは、彼の弁護団選任が功を奏した、と海外で報じられた。しかしその後、ゴーン被告はレバノンに逃亡し、彼は弁護団を辞任しました。
しかし、2020年1月29日にはゴーンの逃亡事件の関係先として彼の事務所が出入国管理及び難民認定法違反（不法出国）容疑で東京地方検察庁による家宅捜索を受けた。刑事訴訟法上の「押収拒絶権」に基づいて拒んだにもかかわらず違法に家宅捜索が実施されたとして、彼は国に損害賠償を求め提訴しました。
テレビ出演や著書もあります。代表的なものとしては、2011年にTBSの「情熱大陸」に出演し、2014年にはKADOKAWAから単著『無罪請負人 刑事弁護とは何か？』を出版しました。また、彼が関与した事件や裁判について書いた著書もあります。

Junichiro Hironaka is a Japanese lawyer. He is a member of the Tokyo Bar Association and a former representative director of the Japan Civil Liberties Union. He entered the University of Tokyo in 1964 and took the bar exam in 1967. Since registering as a lawyer in 1970, he has won many acquittals in trials. Because of his track record, he is known as the "Innocent Contractor."
