**「生物学的知見で人生を豊かに」**
日本の薬学者、文筆家、翻訳家。北海道生まれの生田哲（いくた さとし）は、1978年に東京薬科大学を卒業し、1984年には薬学博士号を取得した。その後は、カリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校やイリノイ工科大学で研究生活を送り、その経験を生かして日本に帰国。多くの著書を出版しながら、脳と栄養に関する研究とコンサルティング活動を行っている。
代表的な著書には、「サイエンティストになるには」、「ヒト遺伝子のしくみ」、「脳に効くクスリ」などがあり、生物学的知見で人生を豊かにすることを目的とした著作である。

Japanese pharmacologist, writer, and translator. Satoshi Ikuta, born in Hokkaido, graduated from Tokyo Pharmaceutical University in 1978 and received his doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences in 1984. After that, he spent time as a researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles and the Illinois Institute of Technology, and returned to Japan to make use of his experience. In addition to publishing many books, he conducts research and consulting on the brain and nutrition.
