Historical novelist. Born in Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture. His real name is Hideo Asakura.
After graduating from Rikkyo University's Faculty of Law, he worked as a freelance writer, and made his debut in 1992 when he won the 17th History and Literature Award for ``Black Bulls and Yokai''. In 2002, he won the first Tohoku Literary Award. In 2015, he won the 4th Historical Period Writers Club Award (Series Award) for his Mimibukuro Hicho series. He also won the 21st Nakayama Yoshihide Literary Award for ``Sarasara Goe''.
His representative works include ``Maou Nobunaga,'' ``Kurogyu and Yokai,'' and ``Junkei Tsutsui.'' He has written many books, including series such as ``Mimibukuro Hicho Series'', ``Oedo Retirement Gumi'', and ``Doshin Kamemashi Kennosuke''.
