**“Living with people and conveying the spirit of Confucianism”**
Nobuyuki Kaji is a Japanese Chinese philosopher. He is a professor emeritus at Osaka University, an advisor to the Z Society, and is also known as the author of ``Fundamentals of Chinese Grammar.''
In terms of research activities, he has written books in a variety of fields, including academic translations of the Analects and the Filial Jing, research on the religious nature of Confucianism, and research on Shiji. There are also many books for the general public. He served for a long time as the founder and main editor of the journal ``China Research Collection'' of the Osaka University Chinese Studies Association.
In our educational activities, we advocate the importance of treating Chinese literature as Japanese and understanding how our predecessors interpreted it in Chinese language education in junior high and high school Japanese language classes.
