広島原爆の犠牲者で、白血病により死去。廣島平和記念公園にある「原爆の子の像」のモデルになっている。
1943年広島生まれ。2歳の時に広島に原爆が投下された。母や兄も被爆したが、彼女は外傷を負うこともなく避難中に放射性降下物に打たれた。その後も元気なように見えたが、1954年に異変が始まり、病状は悪化していった。
彼女の折り鶴は、現在でも広島平和記念資料館で展示されています。千羽を超える数だけ折ったと言われています。

Born in Hiroshima in 1943. When he was 2 years old, the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Her mother and older brother were also exposed to the atomic bomb, but she suffered no injuries and was struck by radioactive fallout while evacuating. After that, he seemed to be in good health, but in 1954 something strange started happening and his condition worsened.
Her origami cranes are still on display at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. It is said that more than 1,000 feathers were folded.
