下村昇（しもむら のぼる）は、1933年に生まれた日本の国語教育者、児童文学者。東京出身で、東京学芸大学卒業後、東京都内の小学校教師となり、都の教科能力調査委員などを務めた。現代子どもと教育研究所所長として多数の子供向け国語本や児童文学を執筆した。
代表的な著作に『漢字の本』シリーズ、『下村式唱えて覚えるひらがなあいうえお』『幼児は文字を書きたがっている』などがあり、子どもの漢字教育の実践を通じて国語教育に新しい提案を行った。

Noboru Shimomura, born in 1933, is a Japanese language educator and children's author. Born in Tokyo, after graduating from Tokyo Gakugei University, he became an elementary school teacher in Tokyo and served as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Subject Ability Survey. As director of the Institute for Contemporary Children and Education, he wrote many Japanese language books and children's literature for children.
