He also served as a professor at the Faculty of Economics at Reitaku University and at the China Japanese Language Training Center, and was also active as an advisor to the Cabinet Secretariat (in charge of East Asian foreign affairs). His works include ``Hyonden'' and ``Kita Ikkiron.''
