After graduating from Waseda University, he worked as a freelance reportage writer and published ``Automotive Despair Factory''. Since then, he has written many biographies and won the Jiro Nitta Literary Award and the Mainichi Publishing Culture Award. He was also involved in the Sanrizuka Struggle and participated in the movement against the construction of the airport. He joined the demonstrators in the Narita Airport control tower occupation incident.
