益田ミリは日本のイラストレーター、漫画家、エッセイスト。京都芸術短期大学卒業後、大阪で暮らしながらコピーライターを目指したが、その途中でイラストの講義を受けたことが転機となる。26歳まで大阪で暮らした後、上京してイラストレーターになることを目指し、出版社に自作の持ち込みを続けるうち、いそっぷ社の編集者に認められ、2001年に『OLはえらい』で本格的デビューを果たす。初期の頃はイラストだけでなく「川柳も書けます」とアピールしていて、編集者の目に留まって出版につながったというエピソードもある。
その後、2006年の『すーちゃん』で大きな注目を浴びる。その後、多くの本を著し、2011年に、『はやくはやくしていわないで』で第58回産経児童出版文化賞産経新聞社賞を受賞。2013年には『すーちゃん』シリーズが映画化され、2021年と22年に『スナック キズツキ』と『僕の姉ちゃん』シリーズがテレビドラマ化される。
現在は朝日新聞に『オトナになった女子たちへ』を連載中。また、ミシマ社ウェブ連載「今日の人生」も代表作の一つである。

Miri Masuda is a Japanese illustrator, manga artist, and essayist. After graduating from Kyoto College of Art, he lived in Osaka and aspired to become a copywriter, but a turning point occurred when he took a lecture on illustration along the way. After living in Osaka until he was 26 years old, he moved to Tokyo and aimed to become an illustrator, and while continuing to bring his own work to publishers, he was recognized by the editors of Isoppsha and made his full-fledged debut in 2001 with ``OL is Great''. In the early days, he advertised that he could write not only illustrations but also senryu, which caught the attention of an editor and led to his publication.
After that, she received a lot of attention for her role in 2006's "Su-chan". After that, he wrote many books, and in 2011, he won the 58th Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award Sankei Shimbun Prize for ``Hurry up and Don't Go''.
