Yoko Nagai is a Japanese health scientist/nursing scholar (clinical psychology) with a Doctor of Medicine degree. He served as an advisor to the Ginkgo Association, a non-profit organization, and as a professor emeritus at Shizuoka Prefectural University. After attending Tokyo Medical University and the University of Tokyo, he taught at Shizuoka Prefectural University and also served as the director of the Sunpu Aoi-kai facility.
She conducted research in the field of clinical psychology, contributed to the popularization of the ``Ota Stage,'' and wrote numerous academic and professional books on developmental disorders such as autism. She was also active in the Japanese Society of Nursing Science and gave lectures from her perspective as a clinical psychologist.
