Yoriko Tsutsui is a Japanese picture book author. Born in Tokyo and raised in Akita Prefecture, he later moved to Saitama Prefecture. After graduating from copywriter training school, he worked at an advertising company. She became a full-time housewife and published her first picture book, ``My First Errand,'' in 1976, which became a long-seller. Since then, he has published many books co-authored with Akiko Hayashi. He also actively translates his works into foreign languages, and won the 1989 Ezra Jack Keats Award for Best New Writer.
