高橋庄太郎は、日本の著名な山岳ライター、アウトドアライター。宮城県仙台市出身で、1986年に宮城県仙台第二高等学校に進学し、山岳部に入る。その後、早稲田大学政治経済学部政治学科に進学し、本格的な登山を始める。
集英社に入社後も、精力的に山行を続け、国外の各所へ足を運ぶようになる。2002年に集英社を退職し、フリーランスの山岳ライター／アウトドアライターとしてのキャリアをスタートさせる。

Shotaro Takahashi is a famous Japanese mountain and outdoor writer. Born in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, he entered Miyagi Prefecture Sendai Daini High School in 1986 and joined the mountain club. After that, he entered the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University, and began mountain climbing in earnest.
Even after joining Shueisha, he continued to vigorously go mountaineering and began traveling to various places overseas. In 2002, he retired from Shueisha and began his career as a freelance mountain writer/outdoor writer.
