Seiji Kimura was born in Tokyo in 1943 and studied at the Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo. After that, I entered the doctoral program and studied abroad at the University of Munich. After returning to Japan, he became an assistant at the University of Tokyo, and later served as a professor in the Department of History, Faculty of Letters, Rikkyo University. He is currently Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Letters, Rissho University.
My areas of expertise are modern Western history and German history, but I also edit the high school textbook ``Detailed World History''. He also published ``Soldier's Revolution - Germany 1918,'' ``Two World Wars,'' and ``World War I.''
