Takashi Muto is known as an educationist. He specializes in the fields of childcare and psychology, and serves as chairperson of government councils and research groups. When Toshiyuki Shiomi, who had graduated from the University of Tokyo, became president, Muto, who had been president of Hakubi Gakuen University until then, remained at the university as a professor. Later, in 2009, he became full-time in the Department of Clinical Development.
